At the upper end of the Baby Boomers age group, I sometimes really feel my age (61 as I write this), sometimes I feel like I’m still 25 … well, maybe 45
, and sometimes I’m not aware of my age at all. What I am aware of is that I have made a decision, not a sudden, earth moving decision, but a gradual one over the last few months, that I REALLY want to age well, to look good and feel great in my wisdom years!
While I understand that I can’t turn back the clock and undo the carefree and careless mistakes I’ve made in the past, I also understand that I can move forward from this point on with a more deliberate approach to aging well, to looking good and feeling great, and take action to remove or decrease some of the barriers to aging well.

No matter how much we protest, time moves on and aging happens!
And that’s where YOU enter the picture, because I know that I will need your support and encouragement to succeed, and that I will be able to support and encourage you in turn. Some things I already do very well – keeping mentally active and stimulated, socializing, and connecting to a sense of purpose and direction for my life. The things I need help and encouragement with are managing my weight and exercising regularly.
Now you and I both know that just deciding to age well, to look good and to feel great, won’t magically bring about the results we desire. Have you heard the riddle about this?
Riddle:
Five frogs sitting on a log. One decides to jump off. How many frogs are left?
Answer:
Five … because deciding is not the same as doing:)
